Energy Display Works With iMeter Solo™ to Show Energy Consumption
March 30, 2011
IRVINE, Calif. - In an ongoing effort to help Insteon users control their energy consumption, Smarthome today launched its new Insteon Energy Display. The Energy Display, when used in conjunction with up to three iMeter Solos, provides users with current energy usage, average monthly energy usage and projected energy costs, based on your monthly billing rate.
The Energy Display, which measures 3.1" x 3.8" x 1.1", is powered by two AAA batteries, which are included. The product requires at least one iMeter Solo and one Access Point or dual-band device to provide energy data to the user. The Energy Display also includes a built-in thermometer for displaying local room temperature, which can also be used as a condition or trigger for initiating the control of other Insteon devices within the home.
"The Insteon Energy Display continues our commitment to helping our customers not only automate and control their lighting, appliances and HVAC in their home, but to also monitor and control the energy consumption of those same products," commented Laurie Maroni, Vice President of Marketing at Smarthome. "The Energy Display, iMeter Solo, SynchroLinc andHouseLinc 2 provide customers with the tools to significantly reduce the energy consumption within their home and quickly see a return on investment."
The Energy Display is currently available for pre-order at a retail price of $39.99. All Insteon products can be purchased at www.smarthome.com/insteon.
