Load Sensing

The Dimmer Plug detects when a plugged-in lamp is turned on from its power switch so that when the outlet is off, turning the power switch on the lamp from on to off then on again will trigger the outlet to turn on

This is useful for turning on a lamp without reaching for a controller or tapping the set button on the plug.

I have a larger home, a little over 4,000 sq feet. Insteon is so reliable I would not choose any alternative

Awesome Upgrade

I use the Dimmer Modules for uplighting that comes on gradually 15 minutes after sunset. They dim down later, and turn off when we go to bed. Reliable and unobtrusive!

They work great
Been using these insteon products for years in multiple houses.

I use the agave android app, we can use scenes, automatically turn on/off at set times or override via the phone.

My only negative comment is, the little wire in dimmer units seem to be temperature sensitive...I have 4 or 5 in my attic acting as 'responders' for lights in my kitchen ...when it's cold (below 32f) they cause the lights to flicker....if I warm the attic up (put a fan heater up there simply to test) they don't flicker....so....if possible in a future design perhaps they could tolerate temps down to say 20f ????

Super easy to use

The plug in dimmer module couldn't be easier to use. Just plug it in and pair it with a controller.

Useless device

Dimmer is detected by Director but cannot be controlled by the app. When lamp is plugged into the dimmer it cannot be controlled by buttons on the side of the dimmer.
