Load Sensing

The On/Off Plug detects when a plugged-in lamp is turned on from its power switch so that when the outlet is off, turning the power switch on the lamp from on to off then on again will trigger the outlet to turn on

Convenience

Although I prefer the in-wall recepticles for a cleaner look, temporary sevices (some Xmas) or those that move around can use plu-in modules. In this case, most of my training equipment and lighting in my exersize room would take individual on-off sitches. With different modules and wall sockets I now can switch them all on or off with a mini remote. If I forget the to turn them off, the Universal devices EISY (HUB) takes care of it at 10 pm. I have other technologies as well, such as Zigbee and Matter and all of them are "better" than Insteon. But if I want things to work, like in the last 14 years, I keep buying Insteon. There is not a room in my house, including basement and garages that do not have Insteon in it. For the most part you do not even know it is there.

Insteon On/Off Module

I would normally have used a dual controllable receptacle for independent control of two systems. However, in this case, access to the current receptacle is very difficult. But, I was able to change some existing control schedules and dd a new one using the On/Off Module. It works like a charm. The On/Off Module is quite useful in resolving troublesome revisions to your controlled systems. Keep it in mind
