Insteon switches

The biggest advantage is the flexibility to have a switch where you need it. Home owners no longer need to be restricted to the arbitrary decisions electricians make when installing a j box.

Solved my line noise problem

I recently purchased a robo vacuum cleaner that interfered with my X10 devices on the same house circuit. The X10 branded plug-in noise filters would not work because the current rating was to low :-( The Insteon power rating was more than sufficient. I like the fact that the powerline noise filter has 2 receptacles on it. One receptacle to filter the noise that backfeeds on to the house circuit and one unfiltered receptacle so you can still use the wall plug for another electrical device like a lamp.

Get this if you use a UPS

I just moved to a new house and decided to do my office equipment right by hooking up more of it to UPS units. I didn’t realized that the proximity and the density of UPS devices could cause powerline noise. I spent weeks rearranging things and trying different workarounds but in the end, adding these to every UPS solved everything.
