Insteon Pairs Up with Logitech Harmony to Elegantly Control Your Connected Home

IRVINE, California – August 13, 2015Insteon®, creators of the world’s premier home automation and control technology, today announced that you can control Insteon devices with all Logitech Harmony® Hub based remotes, including the Logitech Harmony® Ultimate Home, the Logitech Harmony® Home Control and the Logitech Harmony® Home Hub via the Logitech Harmony mobile app. Now, you can control your Insteon connected home from the comfort of the couch while incorporating entertainment devices and home automation products from other manufacturers.

Using Harmony hub-based remotes, you can now control Insteon wall switches, outlets, plug-in dimmers, lightbulbs and more. Better still, using Harmony Activities, you can create scenes like “Movie Time” that turn on your TV and Apple TV or Roku and start dimming the lights – all with one button on your Harmony remote. All that’s required is a Harmony Hub based remote, an Insteon Hub (2245-222) and Insteon devices.

Insteon Now Shipping Apple HomeKit-enabled Insteon Hub

IRVINE, California. Insteon®, creators of the world’s premier home automation and control technology, today announced it is now shipping its new HomeKit-enabled Insteon Hub, bringing Insteon products like switches, outlets, thermostats and light bulbs into the HomeKit ecosystem. The HomeKit-enabled Insteon Hub is available exclusively through Amazon.com and Smarthome.com for $149.99 and will be available in retail stores in early July.

Also available is the new and completely redesigned Insteon+ app for iOS 8.1 or later, which will work with other HomeKit-enabled products from various manufacturers, including HomeKit-enabled lights, door locks, color-changing bulbs, garage door openers, thermostats and other HomeKit-enabled products. It will also work with all Insteon products, when paired with the Insteon Hub. Ultimately, this Insteon+ app provides one simple, singular method for consumers to control connected devices.

Insteon Drives IoT Innovation With Microsoft at Microsoft’s Build Developer Conference

AllJoyn Network Wires the Connected Home with More Than 200 Devices; Insteon Integrates with Windows 10

SAN FRANCISCO – April 29, 2015 – Insteon®, creators of the world’s premier home automation and control technology, today announced the AllJoyn-enabled Insteon Hub, which brings more than 200 Insteon devices to the AllJoyn ecosystem. This announcement was revealed on stage by Joe Dada, CEO of Insteon at the Microsoft Build developer conference. 

Insteon is also working together with Microsoft Corp. to highlight the many possibilities for the connected home when developers integrate their applications with Insteon and Windows 10. Additionally, Insteon is developing a universal app for Windows 10, which will allow Insteon to run seamlessly on any Windows 10 device across computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, wearables and more.

AllJoyn-Enabled Insteon Hub

Since joining the AllSeen Alliance last year, Insteon has continued to advance connectivity of its devices on the AllJoyn platform. Today, Insteon is opening up its entire product line to the AllSeen Alliance through the AllJoyn-enabled Insteon Hub. The AllJoyn-enabled Insteon Hub makes it easy for developers to integrate their own applications with the Windows 10 SDK and communicate with the entire Insteon product line. In addition to an onsite demonstration at the Build developer conference, Insteon will host its Introspection XML on the AllSeen Alliance portal, enabling any developer to interact with the Insteon Hub through AllJoyn. As part of this demonstration, Insteon is also showcasing a universal application running on Windows 10.

At the Build event, Insteon will share one of the first universal applications for Windows 10, allowing a streamlined UI experience across computers, tablets and smartphones as well as a variety of devices capable of running Windows 10. Insteon Announces Apple HomeKit-enabled Insteon App and Insteon Hub

Las Vegas – Consumer Electronics Show – January 6, 2015 – Insteon®, creators of the world’s premier home automation and control technology, today announced a new Insteon App supporting Apple HomeKit technology for home management. With the HomeKit-enabled Insteon App, users can control any HomeKit-enabled device, regardless of brand or product type. Insteon is also offering a new HomeKit-enabled Insteon Hub, which brings Insteon switches, outlets, thermostats, and light bulbs into the HomeKit ecosystem.
