We've uncovered a box of old Hub Pro's in our warehouse. This product was discontinued many years ago, including the mobile app that used to power it, and is no longer certified by Apple HomeKit. So, why would you want to buy this steeply discounted, discontinued product?

Inside the Hub Pro is a BeagleBone Black mini computer and a stripped down Serial Modem (PLM). Together you can hack this to work with Home Assistant or other 3rd party software. Here's a link to a post on reddit showing what one user did with their Hub Pro.

  • This item is sold as-is, no warranty, no support, and all sales are final.
  • The USB ports should not be used with devices that draw power

 

Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated based on location and are available when checking out.

Orders placed with FedEx Intl Priority, FedEx 2 Day, or FedEx Overnight by 12pm PT (Monday-Friday, non-holiday) are expected to ship same day.  Orders placed after 12pm PT are expected to ship the following business day. All other orders are expected to ship within 2 business days

Customers shipping to Canada will be responsible for all duties and import fees which will be due upon receipt.

New items have a 30-day return window and are warrantied for 2 years from the purchase date.

Refurbished Products

Refurbished items are guaranteed to be in good working condition but may have physical imperfections and/or may not include original packaging and documentation. If the product fails to work, you may exchange it for like product within 30 days of receipt.

Hub Pro: retired by still functional, with a little TLC.

Ordered the hub pro to replace my dead Hub V1. The pro has a beagleboard black inside and easy to flash with a recent version of Debian and Socat to emulate port 9761/PLM of my old hub. Also using for a zigbee2mqtt gateway with home assistant. Planning to add a sensor(LD2450) inside for presence detection. A small DIY project that is paying off.

CANT MAKE IT WORK

Insteon Password Doesn't work even with many attempts to reset it. I don't own an I Phone which is required to work the hub. Not Recommended.

We're sorry to hear this product didn't work as you expected. As the product description mentions this product was discontinued along with the app that ran it. It doesn't work with current Insteon accounts but rather has its own web server: http://<HubPro IP>/authlogin.html Username: Admin and no password by default. This product is being sold essentially as hardware to run third party software such as Home Assistant and to use its built-in PLM to communicate with Insteon devices.
