The sensor can be placed on doors leading outside, liquor cabinet doors, and windows. You can set the siren to issue a more subtle chime sound to let you know a door or window has been opened or you can set it to issue an alarm if the application is critical (eg, gun safe, medicine cabinet, etc.).
For example, parents with young children that are not yet pool safe can install the sensor to the door leading to the backyard so they get alerted if someone goes outside.
