Meet Our Founder
Ken acquired the Insteon brand and technology in 2022 and founded Insteon Technologies. He served as VP & General Manager of SmartLabs from 2004-2007 (the precursor company to Insteon).
Ken has been involved in the connected consumer product market for over 20 years. He has participated in industry roundtables and studies and has been quoted in many articles including Parade Magazine, EETimes, PC World and ABC News.
He has a strong background in business visioning and planning developed during his 22-year career with the Hewlett-Packard Company. While with HP, he was recognized for the development of innovative new business opportunities.
Recently, he has been active in the Orange County venture capital community as a member of Cove Funds I, II & III. The Cove Fund is a seed-stage venture capital fund that provides startup funding for promising new ventures. It is headquartered at the UC Irvine Applied Innovation Center. He also serves as Innovation Advisor to start-up entrepreneurs at UC Irvine’s Applied Innovation Center.
