Essential info

If you are experiencing flicker, flutter or flashing of LED bulbs with your dimmer switch, we now offer a solution to help reduce or eliminate these issues altogether.

The device can also help reduce higher efficiency LEDs from glowing when the switch is off.

This thin little device installs in parallel with the LED load, either behind the wall switch or in the electrical box behind the light fixture.

The difference between the Yellow and Blue models

Unfortunately there is no easy answer. This is because not all LED bulbs are created equal. Therefore, there is no standard for how each operates. As such, there is no one device that works in all cases. Because of this, two different models exist to improve dimming with a wide variety of LED bulbs and dimmers. We can’t say which works best in each specific situation so we recommend installing each one in turn and leaving in place the one that works best. We recommend buying the Test Kit, which includes one of each.

This thing actually works!

I bought both yellow and blue. I tried blue first and it eliminated the flicker on dimming, but made a weird flash when dimming up from off. Switched to yellow and it is perfect. LED lights in overhead fan would not flicker, but fully flash brightly whenever we faded to dim movie lighting. This item completely fixed the issue.

Lights go off instead of staying on dim.

The new i3 switches are a lot nicer looking, but when you have only one low wattage LED there is a trickle of electricity so the light is dim like a constant on night light. Ideally the i3 could be programmed to not do this but since it can’t this is a good solution. It was a 50/50 split between blue or yellow, so I chose blue and the problem was solved.

Yellow one works great with my Halo LED recessed lights

We have two groups of Halo brand LED retrofit recessed fixtures, one with 10 lights the other with 4. The lights would flicker when there was any Insteon data traffic (a known limitation with the design) that wasn't really an issue in the days of incandescent lights. Enter LED and it's horrible especially when dimmed. The yellow filter worked 100%, the blue didn't do anything for us. Now our lights don't flicker at all.

LED Fixture Glow

The device didn't eliminate the glow when the fixture is off.

Does NOT fix flickering caused by PowerWall3

I purchased these to eliminate the blinking caused by a new Tesla PowerWall3 with 30+ existing Insteon switches in my home. There was NO flickering before the PowerWall install.
Both the electricians & I tried installing them. Unfortunately, these devices did not help.
It is my understanding: the PowerWall3 delivers on a different frequency which causes the disturbance.
It is my experience: Getting Tesla to fix this is near impossible. 7+ weeks. Still flickering. Its like Gitmo in my home.
