Getting Started

The Insteon Hub requires a Connected Home Access service to use with Insteon mobile apps and services.

Exclusive Offer for New Insteon Hub 2 Customers

Now when you purchase a new Hub 2 from Insteon or one of our authorized dealers, you will receive one year of Insteon Connected Home Access at no charge. You will receive the offer email with unique code once you've onboarded your Insteon Hub 2 using the Director mobile app. Just follow the link in the email and enter the code at checkout for a free year of access.

This offer starts March 18, 2025 and applies to customers without a prior Insteon Connected Home Access account and a new, never-been-used Hub 2 purchased through Insteon directly or one of its authorized dealers.

Connect the ethernet cable to your router and plug in the power cable.

Connect the cables to Insteon Hub. Wait until the Insteon Hub beeps and its LED turns from red to green.

Download the Insteon Director app. This is the newer app that is constantly receiving updates and new device support.

Follow the on-screen instructions to scan the Setup Code and configure Insteon Hub.

Add your first Insteon device by tapping its icon from the available device types and following the on-screen instructions.
